AFC & NFC West 2014 Season Predictions

AFC & NFC West 2014 Season Predictions

NFC West

1          1.       Seattle Seahawks (13-3)

The Super Bowl Champs have not lost a step, as a matter of fact they are looking straight dominant when the starters play in the preseason games. They’ve locked in some of the key starters on the defense for years to come and on the offensive side Russell Wilson seems to be taking a more dominant role with the team and has been lighting it up so far during the preseason. Percy Harvin will start in the season opener and if he can stay healthy should be a major weapon on this offense and even though there was drama during the offseason Marshawn Lynch is still a beast and should have another good year.  Nothing has really changed with this team as far as the roster, the only change with this team is they have a Super Bowl Championship underneath their belts already and they look like they’re ready to make a run at a repeat.

2          2.       San Francisco 49ers (10-6)

This offseason for the 9ers has been full of nothing but drama, from the tension between management and coach Jim Harbaugh, to Aldon Smith’s legal issues , to multiple injuries to the team. With all of that and more going on that has already had an effect on the team during the preseason and I know those games don’t count for anything, but if you watched the starters especially on offense then this team is going to have its struggles. Kaepernick hasn’t seemed to have clicked with any of his receivers and has looked frazzled throughout the preseason, so we’ll see if he can live up to that huge contract extension he signed a few months ago. They are still a solid team, but they have been decimated on defense with suspensions and injuries, the defense has carried this team into the playoffs the past few seasons so I don’t expect them to be as dominant as they have been in the past. I still think they are a playoff team, but I think they will have their struggles.

3          3.       Arizona Cardinals (7-9)

Overall The Cardinals are garbage the only bright spot on this team is their secondary led by Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu and the addition of Antonio Cromartie, other than that there isn’t any need to talk about this team!

4          4.       St. Louis Rams (2-14)

I wrote these predictions BEFORE Sam Bradford was injured and will miss the entire season and in that previous prediction I actually did say he would get injured again! I also said that this team is overall pathetic and the only thing they will have to look forward to is the 2015 NFL Draft because they are sure to have a high draft pick!

AFC West

1          1.       Denver Broncos (14-2)

After The Broncos got their asses beat in The Super Bowl they immediately got to work at improving in the areas that needed the most attention starting with defense. They added in Demarcus Ware and Aqib Talib, both of them are great at their positions and should greatly improve this defense with immediate results. On offense they still have Peyton Manning and until he falls off you can’t pick against this offense because he makes everyone better on that side of the ball! With all the offseason improvements this team should once again be competing for The Super Bowl!

2          2.       San Diego Chargers (8-8)

The Chargers are just another middle of the road, going nowhere team, so why should I talk about them again?

3          3.       Kansas City Chiefs (8-8)

Don’t expect this team to repeat what they did last season. They didn’t impress me at all last year and I knew they would falter when it was all said and done. Alex Smith is a garbage ass quarterback, Dwayne Bowe is overrated and Jamal Charles can’t ever stay healthy. So offensively I don’t see them producing much aside from turnovers and not apple turnovers which I know Andy Reid’s fat ass would prefer!

4          4.       Oakland Raiders (5-10)

Well get ready for another season of The Raiders being horrible! No quarterback as usual, not much talent on offense, but the defense isn’t too horrible! I’m sure all Raiders fans are getting their Super Bowl XLIX Champion tattoos right now because we all know the most diluted fans are Raiders fans!
