Green Bay Packers Vs Atlanta Falcons

Congratulations to the Atlanta Falcons for finally impressing me, you guys were finally able to put together a great Playoff performance! Now, let’s see if you can pass this week’s challenge…Aaron Rodgers! That dude is something else! He had yet another amazing performance against the Cowboys in the Divisional round. He single handedly ripped the defense apart and played jedi mind tricks with them all day long. I’m a Cowboys fan and believe me it was hard to watch because while that’s your team getting their asses beat, I still was completely impressed with how he played in that game. The unfortunate thing for the Packers this week is the injuries on offense have really piled up in the receiving corps along with the offensive line. While Aaron Rodgers is an exceptional player who is playing some of the best football of his life, I don’t know if the rest of his team is going to help him out in even the slightest way against the Falcons.

The Falcons offense has been lights out and they tore up the Seattle defense, which is no easy task. The Packers defense is old and wobbly so it should be interesting to see what happens if the Falcons get too far ahead. The Falcons don’t have a weakness on offense and on the defensive side of the ball they’ve been a huge surprise. If this game turns into a shootout I think the Packers are in trouble because of the shaky defense and the battered offensive line, this puts way more pressure on Rodgers, and while he is excellent under pressure at some point it will catch up and he will make mistakes. I believe the Falcons have too much fire power for the Packers to handle and this great run that Rodgers has been on will come to an end this week.

AFC

Pittsburgh Steelers Vs New England Patriots

It’s time for yet another AFC Championship in New England, does this team ever go away?! Even with Tom Brady missing the first four games of the season the Patriots still managed to top the AFC and then when Brady comes back he absolutely tears every single defense up! The Patriots are playing at a high level and once again have their eyes set on the ultimate prize. The Steelers just keep getting better each and every week and keep winning in different ways with different guys stepping it up. Leveon Bell is steam rolling through the Playoffs and has proven to be unstoppable against all of their opponents thus far. The one player who hasn’t had his moment during the Playoffs is Ben Roethlisberger and I can’t help but think that his time has come this week. Don’t get me wrong Roethlisberger has been solid throughout the Playoffs, but he hasn’t really had a great game.

The Patriots have been a tough battle for the Steelers over the years in the post season and I think they are looking to change that. Last week the Texans laid out the blue print on how you can stop the Patriots and that’s by getting to Tom Brady and forcing him to make mistakes. The Texans just couldn’t take advantage because they had a horrible offense, but this is not the case with the Steelers. The Patriots defense is not that great either and I believe Bill Belichick made a mistake by trading the linebacker Jamie Collins earlier in the season. I think that move will bite the Patriots in the ass this week because if this turns into a shoot out, the Steelers have the edge on offense, their ground game and receiving corps are much better and more reliable than the Patriots. The Steelers defense isn’t the power house it once was in the past, but they have stepped it up and I trust them over the Patriots defense. This should be a fun game to watch, but I’m taking the upset because I believe the Steelers are the better team.

NFL Divisional Round Playoff Predictions

NFC

Green Bay Packers Vs Dallas Cowboys

The Packers are coming into this matchup as one of the hottest teams in the league and are going to be a much better matchup for the Cowboys than when they faced off earlier this season. The Packers have finally clicked offensively between Aaron Rodgers and the wide receivers, but they still have a problem at running back. The Cowboys are coming off of a stellar regular season with two rookie’s leading the way, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. Overall the entire Cowboys team has played well throughout the regular season, the offensive line is the best in the league, which in turn has made the ground game the best in the league, Dak has multiple weapons to choose from at receiver, and the defense has been able to lock it down. They have overcome many obstacles during the regular season and I believe that will give them an edge during the post season. The Packers have a great weapon with Aaron Rodgers, he literally carries this team, but the downfall of that is when Rodgers is contained and has a bad game there isn’t anyone else to pick up the team. The Cowboys were able to control the line and contain Rodgers in the last matchup and I expect more of the same this time around. Since the Packers have no ground game it’s tough to take the pressure off of Rodgers and that is when he is more likely to make mistakes. The Packers defense is old and beat up, if their offense is playing like shit, then the Cowboys will be way too much for them to handle. The Cowboys have been playing some of the best football all season as a team they are going to be tough to beat because they are strong physically and mentally, and play team football. The Coaches have the players ready and they all have bought into the system. Those are usually the teams that end up winning it all in the end.

Cowboys over Packers 24-17

Seattle Seahawks Vs Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons had one hell of a regular season, the offense has been unstoppable and the defense has been one of the best in the league. The Seahawks are coming off of a huge win against the Lions, they looked solid on all fronts and this is a team that you don’t want to underestimate in the post season. The one thing that’s been a problem for Seattle is how they play on the road, this entire season some of their worst games are when they play on the road. One thing the Seahawks have finally been able to get going is the ground game, this has been their biggest weakness throughout the season along with the poor play of the offensive line. The Falcons over the years have a history of having a great regular season and then completely tanking in the Playoffs, so it is very difficult for me to have any faith in them in this matchup. While the Seahawks have some glaring weaknesses on offense, the defense is still one of the best in the league and I think are the perfect defense to try and contain this offense. On paper the Falcons are the better team compared to the Seahawks, but when it’s Playoff time I can’t count out Seattle. The Seattle defense is going to be the deciding factor in this game and I believe they will step it up in this matchup and keep it moving into the next round!

AFC

Houston Texans Vs New England Patriots

Well this should be a fun little warm up for the Patriots. I don’t anticipate any kind of legitimate game will be played in this matchup because the Texans are a horrendous team who should not even be here! I have a feeling it’s just going to be touchdowns galore by the Patriots!

Patriots over Texans 41-3

Pittsburgh Steelers Vs Kansas City Chiefs

I haven’t believed in the Chiefs at all this season and I will continue that trend on into the Playoffs! First of all their offense is extremely mediocre Alex Smith is lucky if he can complete a pass over 20 yards and the ground game is not that impressive. Second, their coach is that fat fuck Andy Reid and when the post season rolls around you won’t find him winning, you’ll find him eating fried chicken on the sideline! All jokes aside he has always been terrible in the post season no matter how successful his teams are during the regular season. Third, throughout my entire lifetime the Chiefs are like the Falcons, they dominate the regular season and then bomb in the post season, and I can’t say this enough, but until you prove you can win on a regular basis, I can’t believe in you. They have a great defense and Tyreek Hill has turned out to be a special teams gem, but I don’t think they have a chance against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is steam rolling into this game and their offense is on fire! Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and LeVeon Bell are all hitting their stride and seem to get better every game. The defense has really stepped it up as well, but when you have this offense on the field scoring up a storm any defense is going to look great! All in all I think the Steelers keep this train rolling into the AFC Championship!

College Football National Championship Prediction

Semifinals Record (1-1)

College Football National Championship Prediction

Clemson Vs Alabama

It’s rematch time and I couldn’t care less!! Alabama’s dominance has grown so old that College Football has become boring to me, but hey those ratings say otherwise! I’m not trying to be a hater about them, I actually respect their dominance. It would just be nice if someone, ANYONE could at least challenge them. Unfortunately, that challenge won’t be in this matchup against Clemson. DeShaun Watson is a good quarterback and is more than likely going to make some big plays in the game, but I don’t think it will be enough to outlast the Alabama defense for four quarters. Alabama’s defense is even better than last year’s National Championship defense, so I really don’t think this game is going to end up being that close. The entire Alabama team looks unstoppable and while Clemson is a good team, I don’t think they have what it takes to beat Alabama.

Alabama over Clemson 35-17

NFL Wild Card Round Playoff Predictions

NFC

Detroit Lions Vs Seattle Seahawks

I’m pretty sure the Lions are just as shocked as everyone else that they made it into the post season because the way they ended the season it looked like they had no interest in making the Playoffs! The Seahawks have also had their ups and downs throughout the season. You can see just how much pressure Marshawn Lynch took off of Russell Wilson over the years because Wilson has spent a lot of this season running for his life or on his back. The Seahawks are still a defensive powerhouse even though they have had multiple injuries to some of their top defenders. This matchup almost seems pointless to break down because the Lions are involved and usually that ends up being a loss no matter the circumstance.

Seahawks over Lions 24-13

New York Giants Vs Green Bay Packers

This is the only game I am looking forward to in this round of the Playoffs because it should be a great matchup! The Packers are one of the hottest teams in the league right now. They started the season off in complete disarray looking like a team that would be lucky to finish above .500, but Aaron Rodgers maintained composure and has led his team to a Division title. The Packers offense outside of Rodgers is extremely mediocre, especially at running back so I’m not anticipating a high scoring game. The Giants offense is just as mediocre, for the most part they don’t move the ball at all outside of a few big plays from their receivers and their ground game is non-existent. The defense is what carries them and they will need to bring their “A” game against a red hot Aaron Rodgers.  This game is going to be determined by Aaron Rodgers and what kind of a day he is going to have. If the Giants defense is able to control the line and force him into making poor decisions with the ball, then this is going to be an easy win for the Giants. If Rodgers keeps playing as great as he has over the past six weeks, then the Packers are moving on. I’m taking Green Bay in this one because they’re the hot hand right now and at home. The Giants for the most part are a fairly mediocre team and I have a feeling that will be proven at the end of this game.

Packers over Giants 17-10

AFC

Miami Dolphins Vs Pittsburgh Steelers

I don’t believe there will be any surprises in this game. The Steelers will dominate on offense and defense. The Steelers offense is on fire right now and have really found their stride, they were going to be tough for anyone to face! The Dolphins are an extremely mediocre team that is even lucky to be here! I’m expecting Steeler domination from start to finish.

Steelers over Dolphins 41-10

Oakland Raiders Vs Houston Texans

I cannot believe this is actually going to be a Playoff matchup we are forced to watch! I mean if you’re a real football fan like me you literally watch any and all football, especially during the Playoffs, so I will be one of the few sitting through this atrocity. The Texans have NO business even being in the Playoffs because this team is an absolute dumpster fire, but since they’re in the worst division in the NFL here they are! Brock Osweiler has turned out to be the bust I expected him to be and it should be fun to play count the turnovers he causes during the game. The Raiders actually had a great season, but everything came crashing down once Derek Carr broke his leg. That’s the name of the game though and no one is going to feel sorry for them, you just have to keep playing. I’m not even quite sure what to expect from this horrific matchup since the Texans suck and the Raiders have terrible luck. I’m taking the Raiders in this one just because I think the Texans are that pathetic!

Raiders over Texans 17-10
