2015 NFL Season Predictions
NFC South
Carolina Panthers (10-6)
Right off the bat the
Panthers season hit a snag when their star receiver Kelvin Benjamin tore his
ACL during practice. But you gotta keep it moving and now someone else will
have to step up in his place. On offense the Panthers will once again have to
rely heavy on Cam Newton, he is their only real threat to an opposing defense.
He is a great threat to have in my opinion and coming into a season healthy I
think Cam will have no problem shouldering the load and I think could end up
having his best season yet as a pro. On defense is where the Panthers get good,
led by Luke Kuechly who has been one of the most dominant defensive players since
the day he was drafted. They also added in some veteran leadership with Charles
Tillman to fill some holes in that secondary, he is a ball hawk. Where ever
that football is thrown more than likely you’re going to see Tillman somewhere
in the area disrupting the play. I don’t think the Panthers will be blowing
teams out of the water, but they do benefit from a weak division which should
help earn them a playoff spot.
Atlanta Falcons (10-6)
I am so happy for the
Falcons now that they finally shit canned their old coach Mike Smith! He was so
soft the Falcons had NO CHANCE under that dude, that’s why they never did
anything but choke hard in the big moments while he was the coach! Now the
Falcons have Dan Quinn, who was the defensive coordinator with the Seahawks for
the past couple of seasons so this defense alone should get a huge confidence
boost with Quinn at coach. He also will inherit a pretty decent offense with a
solid quarterback, Matt Ryan and one of the top receivers in the league, Julio
Jones. There are plenty of questions with this team, like their ground game,
not sure what to expect from any of their running backs on the roster. But a
change of scenery is definitely something that this team needed and I think
that will help give them a boost this season and compete for a playoff spot.
New Orleans Saints (9-7)
I think the Saints
days of being a legitimate team are numbered. Last season was a tough one for
them to get through and they didn’t do anything to really improve the team this
offseason. Drew Brees is only getting older and at some point he is going to
run out of steam. The Saints once again have no ground game for Brees to turn
to and they traded away his best receiver, Jimmy Graham. The defense isn’t
anything to write home about either. The Saints might make a few games and
their division race interesting, but in the end they will fall short and
continue their free fall back into obscurity.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-13)
There is absolutely
nothing good to write about this team…don’t expect much from them except for a
lot of losing!!
AFC South
Indianapolis Colts (12-4)
The Colts should be
one of the top teams in the AFC. Andrew Luck has continued to grow into a
better quarterback every year he has been in the league and I expect him to
keep that up this season! He now has a decent running back with the signing of
Frank Gore, who also brings in some quality leadership. They picked up Andre Johnson at wide receiver,
another weapon for Luck to have on offense. On defense Robert Mathis is coming
back from injury and they also picked up Trent Cole to beef up the linebacking
core. The secondary is their biggest weakness, but who knows how it will look
as the season progresses on. The Colts definitely have a team that can win them
a Championship from top to bottom, they are tough mentally and physically and
it starts with their coach all the way down to the quarterback extending to the
rest of the team. The league better watch out for the Colts this year!
Houston Texans (9-7)
It’s a good thing the
Texans have J.J. Watt because outside of him this team wouldn’t even be
watchable! I have a feeling this team will be playing the revolving quarterback
game all season long and the ground game is a question mark now that Arian
Foster is injured, ONCE AGAIN! JeDeveon Clowney has yet to even play a game in
a Texans uniform so who knows what to expect from him? The Texans have a ton of
question marks and are obviously rebuilding. They should get some decent wins
because the division they are in for the most part is garbage, but this team
won’t be going anywhere but home this season!
Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11)
The Jags are slowly
attempting to build a team, unfortunately for them this process is going to
take them at least on into next season. Meaning Jags fans better sit back and
get ready for another long season of losing!
Tennessee Titans (1-15)
The Titans aren’t
going to be awful because Marcus Mariota is overrated garbage…they will be
awful because just in general this team is garbage!
