NFL Season Predictions - AFC & NFC North

2022 NFL Season Predictions

NFC North

Green Bay Packers (13-4)

It seems that when the Packers traded Devante Adams that everybody hopped off the Packers bandwagon and forgot that their quarterback is Aaron Rodgers! Throughout Rodgers’ career he has helped make some receivers household names, including Adams, who yes, is a great player in his own right, but you can’t deny that Rodgers helped shape him into the receiver he is now. I don’t think this season will be any different because he has a bunch of new young receivers to shape and form into better players. The Packers also have a great offensive line with a great ground attack which sets this team up for having another great season on the offensive side of the ball. The defense is going to be one of the best in the league. They are fast and have depth, so look out for the Packers defense, especially the front seven. Overall, I believe the Packers are one of the best teams in the league, and the fact that they came into this season drama free, I feel like sets them up for a nice playoff run, and the possibility of getting back to the Super Bowl!

Minnesota Vikings (10-7)

The Vikings are a team that I can’t ever trust because they are so damn unpredictable every single season! Offensively they have a lot of fire power and they should score a lot of points, especially with a new offensive minded coach. Justin Jefferson is coming off of an electric season and I expect him to keep it going on into this year. Thielen is healthy coming into this season so I’m expecting this to be one of the top receiving duos in the league. Kirk Cousins has always been a question mark throughout his entire career because he can make some big plays, but he can also make some really stupid ones and he is never consistent. I don’t think the dude has had a consistent season yet, but he is the guy and he is good enough to get the ball to the great receivers he has on his roster. The defense is very questionable though because they lost some of their key players this offseason and I have a feeling this may end up costing them in the close matchups!

Detroit Lions (8-9)

The Lions are gonna do what the Lions do best this season and that is be very mediocre! Dan Campbell can say as many whacked out things he wants and he definitely makes press conferences more interesting, but other than that this team is straight trash homie! They have one of the worst receiving corps in the league and the defense has absolutely nothing going on! The offensive line is probably their only bright spot, but unfortunately their quarterback is Jared Goff and he has no one to throw the ball to so I expect this to be a typical Lions season, where they get a couple good wins, but overall just flat out suck!

Chicago Bears (5-12)

I have yet to figure out what in the actual fuck the Chicago Bears are doing with this team?! Justin Fields is coming into his second season as starting quarterback and the Bears didn’t do shit to help this guy out on offense. The Bears offensive line is trash, the wide receivers are awful, and they have no running back to speak of, so Fields is going to have his work cut out for him this year! Dude is going to be lucky if he doesn’t get injured at some point because this offensive line won’t be able to block me! Even this defense is pathetic and that says a lot considering the Bears are most known for at least having a good defense! Get ready Bears fans it’s going to be another shit show in Chicago!

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens (12-5)

The Ravens are finally healthy, which is a huge difference from last season when it seemed like they had a new injury every other day! Lamar Jackson bulked up over the offseason and gained some muscle, which I think was a great idea considering all the running he does! Speaking of running, now that their running backs are healthy again I anticipate this team is once again going to have the best ground attack in the league! Defensively this team is stacked and healthy! Last year they lost practically their entire secondary to major injuries and they never really got it together. The front seven is a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks and the secondary is one of the best in the league. This season I expect the Ravens will get back on track and back into the postseason!

Cincinnati Bengals (9-8)

While the Bengals are coming off of a great Super Bowl run last season, I have a feeling the Super Bowl hangover is going to bite them in the ass this season! Joe Burrow started off training camp by undergoing an appendectomy and while that isn’t a football injury, it still isn’t the way you want to start off the season because usually more dominoes fall in that same negative direction. I have a feeling this season is going to be much more of a struggle for the Bengals because every team is going to give them their best shot now that they were front and center in the Super Bowl! The Bengals offense is still stacked and they even made more improvements across the offensive line which was their biggest weakness, but defensively there are a lot of question marks. While I believe last season the Bengals were a solid team I believe they ended up in the Super Bowl mostly due to circumstance, with injuries to opponents, and weird matchups in the playoffs that just went their way. Nothing is wrong with that because it happens all the time, but that’s why a lot of teams end up with the Super Bowl hangover because they become a target and they get every teams best shot! I have a feeling this will be a very inconsistent and frustrating season for the Bengals.

Cleveland Browns (8-9)

The Browns, once again, are coming into this season with nothing but uncertainty! It’s always amusing because whenever this team starts to looks halfway decent they always know how to fuck everything up! They traded for Deshaun Watson this offseason and now he’s going to miss the first 11 games of the season because he can’t keep his dick in his pants! They traded away Baker Mayfield who was the starting quarterback and it was obvious it was time to move on, but his replacement is a dude who won’t even play for most of the season?! Only the Browns! Beyond the stupidity at quarterback the wide receiver position has no depth at all beyond Amari Cooper so whoever the quarterback is they don’t have a lot to choose from as far as offensive weapons go. The defense isn’t bad and I assume that is what will help keep them in games and get some good wins, but overall given the situation at quarterback, I feel like the Browns are going to have an awful season full of mediocrity!

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-13)

I have a feeling this is going to be a really long season for the Pittsburgh Steelers because this team is in complete rebuild mode right now! Ben Roethlisberger has retired and now it’s time to find a new quarterback and sometimes that can be an adventure, and I don’t believe the Steelers are going to be the exception here! I have a feeling this is going to end up being the season of the rotating quarterbacks between Trubisky, Rudolph, and Pickett. One guy is going to start the season and we will probably work our way through all three at some point in the season. The offensive line is atrocious and that will not help this already dire quarterback situation! At least the Steelers have a great defense so the fans can have something fun to watch, but once the offense hits the field it’s going to be bad!
