Super Bowl LIII Prediction

New England Patriots Vs Los Angeles Rams

Why does it always feel like no other team in the AFC even wants to go to the Super Bowl? The Patriots keep it moving every year no matter the changes within the team from year to year, but at the beginning of the season I felt like there was no way this team could possibly make the Super Bowl let alone win it! As usual, the Patriots have proven us wrong and are here yet again. I’d say it gets old, but at this rate I feel like it’s the rest of the leagues fault for not getting their shit together and actually winning in the post season. The Rams have been one of the most consistent and dominant teams in the league. They have so many talented players at multiple positions it seems that someone new steps it up to carry the team to a win every week. If the Rams even want a chance at winning this game the defense is going to have to be the reason why. Aaron Donald has led the league in sacks, but he is not the only threat on the defensive line. They also have Ndamukong Suh and Dante Fowler who are just as capable of killing a quarterbacks’ game just like Donald.

Bill Belichick is a defensive mastermind and he has been known to limit some of the greatest offenses in history. I have a feeling his game plan is going to be to try and make Jared Goff win this game. Don’t get me wrong Goff has held his own this season and made some big plays when he has had to, but I honestly don’t think this guy is for real. As a matter of fact I find him completely mediocre and the only reason why he looks halfway decent is because he has so many good players and coaches surrounding him. The second half of the season the Patriots ground game has really been on fire and carried this team, and I feel like Sony Michel is going to be the key for the Patriots on offense. He has been tough for defenses to even get their hands on and once he hits the hole he is gone! While I believe the Rams are the more talented team, it’s still difficult for me to pick against the Patriots. They have been playing very well this post season, the offense has been clicking, they are winning the battle in the trenches, and they just keep making the big plays when they have to. I don’t really see the Patriots losing the Super Bowl two years in a row, I have a feeling that loss last year left an imprint in their memory and they are back to take yet another Championship.

Patriots over Rams 28-24

MVP: Sony Michel
