ALCS & NLCS Predictions

ALCS

Texas Rangers Vs Houston Astros

The Rangers have been rolling through the playoffs without a problem, but now they are going up against the defending champs and their cross-state rivals, the Houston Astros! Bruce Bochy has drastically turned around the Rangers in only his first season as the manager and they will not go quietly in the postseason. The Astros are the defending champs and this is their seventh straight ALCS, so they are no strangers to the postseason. The Astros have been on fire led by the big man Yordan Alvarez. He has arguably been one of the most productive players in the postseason up to this point and I don’t know how the Rangers are going to stop him. Both of these teams are stacked with talent from top to bottom with their rosters so this should be a great series, but I think the Astros and their experience will come into play in this matchup and they will move onto, yet another, World Series!

NLCS

Arizona Diamondbacks Vs Philadelphia Phillies

The Phillies are playing as close to perfect baseball that any team could be capable of. Bryce Harper is smashing homeruns like it ain’t no thang and Nick Castellanos is right there with him! The Phillies batting order has demolished every pitcher they’ve faced this postseason and their starting pitching has been rock solid. The Diamondbacks haven’t even lost a playoff game yet, but I think that’s about to change in this round. While the Diamondbacks have a deep starting pitching rotation that can compete with the Phillies, they lack the postseason experience which may be a deciding factor in this one. The Diamondbacks are completely capable of keeping pace offensively with the Phillies, but once again, they lack that postseason experience. The Phillies look pretty much unstoppable at this point and I’m not picking against them in this one. I feel like their postseason experience is going to be a huge factor in this one because they know what the pressure feels like and they know how to overcome it. The Diamondbacks are the newbs who pretty much backed their way into the playoffs and while they’ve been impressive so far, I feel like their run will stop here.
