2014 NBA Finals Prediction

Miami Heat Vs San Antonio Spurs

Here we are again, Heat Vs Spurs the same matchup from last year and we all know this is exactly who The Spurs wanted to face in The Finals to try and avenge their gut wrenching loss from last year! The Spurs are looking better than ever, they have kicked ass all season throughout the playoffs and look pretty much unstoppable. Even with the injury to Tony Parker I don’t think they have much to worry about, he is a major part of their offense, but so far his injuries in the playoffs and this entire season really have not held them back. The Heat on the other hand are only in The Finals because they’re in the weak ass Eastern Conference, I mean shit has this team played anybody legitimate yet?? I’d like to answer with a big fat NO on that one! In the first round they played The Bobcats, in the following round The Nets and in the last round The Pacers. Every one of those teams is an actual joke, with a garbage squad for a team and if they were in The Western Conference they would not have even made the playoffs! So this right here is the first good team The Heat are facing in The Playoffs! The Heat looked like garbage towards the end of the season and really haven’t done anything to impress me during the playoffs. If Tony Parker’s injury holds him back significantly then this will be tougher for The Spurs, but they should still win the series. They are better on defense, they have a better coach, they have a deeper bench and have been playing much better basketball than The Heat. If Tony Parker can play at a high level in this series than The Spurs should win this series easily! Either way my pick is The Spurs they’re the overall better team and……. fuck The Heat!

NBA Conference Finals Predictions

Western Conference

Oklahoma City Thunder Vs San Antonio Spurs

Man what an idiot I am for picking against The Spurs, something I don’t normally do, but The Trailblazers looked like they might end up being a legit matchup against The Spurs, but they sure fooled me! The Spurs are looking straight up dominant and they are deep from starters all the way down the bench and Popovich is once again coaching his team through the playoffs flawlessly! The Thunder have also been playing some good basketball, but with the recent injury to Serge Ibaka it leads me to believe they won’t have enough firepower to keep up with The Spurs for an entire seven game series. Kevin Durant has had an insane season and even better in the playoffs, but he won’t be able to do it all against The Spurs. I know during the regular season The Thunder dominated The Spurs, one of the few teams this year to do so, but this is the playoffs and The Spurs look like they are dead set on winning a Championship!

Eastern Conference (Pathetic Ass Conference)

Miami Heat Vs Indiana Pacers

The Pacers have been such a boring, lackluster team since The All Star Break and truly this team should feel fucking lucky that they even made it this far! This is supposed to be “The Matchup Of The Season” but really it’s not even close! The Heat are far and away a better team physically and mentally than The Pacers right now and I don’t see this being much of a challenge for The Heat. They can just stand around and watch The Pacers shoot their ownselves in the foot and blow everything that they worked so hard for, this team so badly wants to be as good as Miami, but they are still so far away to even being on their level.  Miami shouldn’t have a problem moving on in this series.

NBA Conference Semi Playoff Predictions

1st Round Record: (6-2)

NBA Conference Semi Playoff Predictions

Western Conference

San Antonio Spurs Vs Portland Trail Blazers

I am so happy that The Blazers are back to playing good basketball because this team is so much fun to watch when they are playing well! Damian Lillard has had one hell of a season and continues to hit the clutch shots and prove he’s the guy that his team can count on it when they need him and LaMarcus Aldridge is back ya’ll! He dominated in the paint in the last round and his shot was on against The Rockets, they did not have an answer for him, not surprising since Dwight Howard sucks, but that’s beside the point! The Spurs were pushed to the limit with The Mavs in the first round, but still walked away with the win. The Spurs have easily been the most dominant  team in The NBA and you can’t expect the Playoffs to be a cake walk, but I think The Mavericks exposed them and banged them up and I feel like if there is a team out West that can beat The Spurs that is The Trail Blazers. The Blazers are younger and faster and also healthier at this point in the season. With Aldridge and Lillard playing so well and The Blazers team playing great defense with a deep bench, that’s a lethal combination and I see it getting the best of The Spurs in this series. Unfortunately I think The Spurs time of dominance is coming to an end, I thought it ended last season when they lost in The Finals and I think that this series could be the passing of the torch with new teams and players starting to come up and make names for themselves and the legends like Tim Duncan will be riding off into the sunset waiting for his induction into the Hall Of Fame!

Blazers over Spurs 7 games

Los Angeles Clippers Vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Kevin Durant has kept his crazy good MVP season going through the playoffs elevating his team once again to the next round in the playoffs. There is no doubt that Kevin Durant is most valuable to his team because if he was not in a Thunder uniform this team would be garbage! He’s the only one who seems to step it up in the clutch and makes it look easy! The Clippers, in my opinion, did not look that great in the first round, I know their matchup was tough, but at the same time where the hell was Chris Paul? What about Blake Griffin he didn’t dominate like he did during the regular season? I understand they had plenty of drama the past week or so, so that has got to play a role in the subpar play, but I don’t think it’s a good way to come into this series against a hot team with a chip on their shoulder. I don’t think The Clippers are focused, healthy or even good enough to win this series against The Thunder. Kevin Durant is on fire right now and he will be tough to stop, I don’t think The Clippers will be that team to have an answer to stop Kevin Durant.

Eastern Conference (Pathetic Ass Conference)

Brooklyn Nets Vs Miami Heat

Everybody is excited about this matchup because The Nets are the only team in The Eastern Conference to go undefeated in the regular season against them, but I’m sorry this is the playoffs and I don’t think The Nets are even half the team that The Heat are. This will be a decent series, at least better than what The Heat saw in the first round, but overall I expect The Heat to move on and not even really flinch. The Nets are old and not that great, Paul Pierce ain’t taking this team to The Eastern Conference Finals without some help and the injuries are piling up. The Heat are the defending Champs and play out East I’m not getting my hopes up that they will be losing to The Nets!

Heat over Nets 5 games

Indiana Pacers Vs Washington Wizards

The Pacers are slowly becoming the most disappointing team of the season. They stumbled into the playoffs and were lucky to even get past The Hawks in the first round. I don’t know what it is with this team, but they are not a team, they have no leadership, they have no offense, they have no defense, overall this team just flat out sucks! The Wizards on the other hand are red hot! Playing some great defense and that is helping them on the scoring end.  The Pacers are not even close to becoming a Championship team at this rate and The Wizards are playing team basketball right now, that always wins and I think they will pull the upset and knock out The Pacers.

NBA 1st Round Playoff Predictions

Western Conference

San Antonio Spurs Vs Dallas Mavericks

I don’t know how The Spurs do it, but here they are once again at the top of The Western Conference. The Spurs were gutted at the end of last season losing to The Heat in The Finals and came back this season and dominated once again, overcoming numerous injuries, Popovich has coached his team flawlessly and they are looking like they’re ready to make another title run.  The Mavericks had a decent season, nothing special, nothing as horrible as my Lakers, but they aren’t  going to be a threat to anyone out West. The Spurs owned The Mavs with a record of 4-0 against them in the regular season I believe that will continue into the playoffs and The Spurs should move on quite easily.

Spurs over Mavericks 5 games

Houston Rockets Vs Portland Trailblazers

This would have been a better matchup if The Blazers were playing like they were before The All Star Break, they were playing some great basketball up until that point and the whole second half of the season they have looked mediocre. The Rockets on the other hand have been red hot for most of the season, James Harden has been in beast mode all season and has carried this team all the way into the playoffs. Damian Lillard has had an amazing season for The Blazers leading this high powered offense into the playoffs, helping them hang on and overcome some adversity towards the end of the season while the injuries piled up. There should be some high scoring games in this series, but I think The Rockets will have the edge in the paint  and on the boards. LeMarcus Aldridge has been injured for most of the second half of the season for The Blazers and they have not been the same ever since and I think it will be too much for them to overcome against The Rockets who don’t have much of a weakness, well except for Dwight Howard we all know he’s a vagina!

Rockets over Trailblazers 6 games

Los Angeles Clippers Vs Golden State Warriors

This should be the best matchup in this round of the playoffs, both of these teams know eachother very well since they are in the same division, but also these are two of the best teams in the NBA this season who can win in many different ways. Blake Griffin has had an MVP season, he has been a beast on offense, defense and dominating the paint and has done it while his wingman, Chris Paul, has been playing through injuries. The Warriors are lights out beyond the 3 point line, with some of the sharpest shooters in the game, led by Stephen Curry who plays with ice water in his veins and wants the ball in the final seconds because he knows if you even give him an inch he will take it and make it! The edge in this matchup goes to The Clippers, the injury to Andrew Bogut I think will have a huge impact on Golden State because they won’t have an answer for Blake Griffin in the paint and with the way that dude has been playing you need all the help you can get.  The Clippers will have too much fire power for The Warriors to overcome in this one.

Clippers over Warriors 7 games

Oklahoma City Thunder Vs Memphis Grizzlies

Kevin Durant has been playing out of his mind this season, he has carried the load with Westbrook’s battle with injuries throughout the season and helped his team maintain their dominance out West. Durant is obviously the league MVP with how he’s played this season, he led the league in scoring and has been basically unstoppable on the offensive side. The Grizzlies have been mediocre for the most part this season so I don’t really anticipate that this series is going to last long.

Thunder over Grizzlies 5 games

Eastern Conference (Pathetic ass conference)

Indiana Pacers Vs Atlanta Hawks

The Pacers have really fallen off the map the second half of the season, which is so sad because they actually had a shot at winning The East, but now I’m not convinced they can even get past The Hawks in this round. The Hawks have had the exact opposite second half though, they actually both have had the same record in the last month, but The Hawks have been playing good basketball, whereas The Pacers have looked like absolute garbage! No offense, no defense, the blame game all around by guys who are supposed to be leaders, this team is just falling apart, it’s truly amazing that they ended up with the top seed in the East! But I do think The Pacers will some how change their mind set and at least step it up for this round. I think it will be tough and this will actually be a decent series, but The Pacers have worked too hard and are too good of a team to lose in the first round to The Hawks.

Pacers over Hawks 6 games

Chicago Bulls Vs Washington Wizards

So I’m an avid basketball fan and for some reason I was shocked to see that The Wizards were in the playoffs?! Yes I know they’re in The Eastern Conference and if you’re a halfway decent team it’s easy to make the playoffs out East. John Wall had a damn good season I know this, but other than that I can’t tell you what else they’re working with, don’t really care either because I’m pretty sure they won’t be moving on to the next round. The Bulls have overcome a lot of adversity this season, yet another season of injuries taking out many of their starters, but yet they still seem to come out and play every team they face hard no matter who is playing. That kind of mind set comes from their coach Tom Thibodeau, who I think is similar to Greg Popovich minus the rings, but I think eventually he will have some because he knows how to get the best out of every player down the bench and never makes any excuses. I don’t expect that this is going to be a tough matchup for The Bulls.

Bulls over Wizards 5 games

Toronto Raptors Vs Brooklyn Nets

Does anybody really think either of these teams will be going anywhere near The Finals?!?!?! NOPE! I sure don’t!! It doesn’t matter what happens in this series so I’m going with The Nets because I flipped a coin and they won!

Nets over Raptors 6 games

Miami Heat Vs Charlotte Bobcats

This is the easiest matchup for me to make a prediction on…..this really isn’t even going to be a fun matchup to watch, The Heat are going to breeze by The Bobcats. Even if The Heat sat Lebron, D- Wade and Chris Bosh for this series they would still win EASY!

Super Bowl XLVIII Prediction

Denver Broncos Vs Seattle Seahawks

This right here is going to be the ultimate matchup! These are no doubt the two top teams in the league, not only in their conference but also we will have the top defense in the league (The Seahawks) facing off against the best offense in the league (The Broncos). Peyton Manning has had the best season of his career and that says a lot given he already has 4 MVP awards and looks to win yet another this season. Right out the gate the first game of the season he threw 7 touchdowns on the Super Bowl Champion Ravens and never looked back, Manning has meticulously picked apart every offense he has faced this season and has made every player on his offense better and has carried this team straight to The Super Bowl.  The Seahawks are such a complete team it’s hard to find any kind of flaw in them, on defense they just absolutely dominate and have the best secondary in the league, on offense they have Marshawn Lynch who makes some of the most explosive plays on the ground as well as Russell Wilson who knows how to make the big plays when they need him to the most, and they also have a great coach leading the way with Pete Carroll. Nothing about this game is going to be determined by the weather, it might snow or be cold or whatever but this is still in equal playing field for both teams, the stupid media just has to make a big deal out of something stupid and this is it the fucking weather….SHUTUP! I feel like the difference in this matchup will be on how Peyton Manning plays in this game and I feel like he has had too great of a season to let it end on a sour note, even though we all know he loves to choke this time of the year!  I also picked The Broncos before the season started to win The Super Bowl (you can reference back in my blog for the picks) so how can I turn on them now?!

Broncos over Seahawks 28-23

MVP: Peyton Manning
