NFL Conference Championship Predictions

NFC

San Francisco 49ers Vs Philadelphia Eagles

These two teams were obviously the best teams in the NFC so it’s no surprise that this is where they ended up. The 49ers have the top defense in the league, but the Eagles defense is just as powerful. The Eagles defense led the league in turnovers and have no issues getting at the quarterback. Offensively, the Eagles have the best ground attack in the league because not only do they have two solid running backs, but Jalen Hurts is just an added level of stress for any opposing defense on the ground and through the air. The 49ers have a ton of weapons offensively, but Brock Purdy was exposed last week and I feel like it’s only going to get worse this week. The Eagles really haven’t had a bad game all season and I feel like they really made a statement last week against the Giants just to let everyone know they are still here. The Eagles have been more consistent and I feel like we’re going to see the rookie come out of Brock Purdy and the Eagles will take advantage of the few mistakes made and move onto the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals Vs Kansas City Chiefs

Well, here we go again! Bengals versus Chiefs in the AFC Championship game for the second year in a row. Last year’s game was insane and I imagine this one will be equally as insane! Joe Burrow and the Bengals OWN the Chiefs and with the confidence that this team is playing with right now, there is a good chance that will continue. The Bengals have been the hottest team in football and have carried that on into the postseason. Offensively, there really isn’t anything they can’t do, and even with an awful offensive line they still shine, on the ground and through the air. The defense has been a quiet assassin the past couple of seasons and has stepped up in the key moments to make game changing plays. The Chiefs have had, yet another, phenomenal season led by Patrick Mahomes, but he sprained his ankle in the previous game and that could be the difference in this one. The Chiefs defense has been known to give up some big plays in the secondary and this is not the team to make that mistake against. I think Joe Burrow is going to light up the secondary and the defense will contain Mahomes, the best they can, and I think the Bengals will continue their dominance of the Chiefs and move onto the Super Bowl!

NFL Divisional Round Playoff Predictions

NFC

New York Giants Vs Philadelphia Eagles

Well, it’s time for another division battle in the playoffs! The Eagles won both matchups in the regular season, but the second matchup was the last game of the season, in which, the Giants played all their backups and the Eagles played all their starters and barely hung onto the win. The Eagles did not look good heading into the postseason and they’re looking like a team that could possibly lose right off the bat! I don’t believe the Giants are even a good team, but they manage to get these lucky wins and at some point it will come to a stop. The Giants defense is about the only impressive thing about this team, but offensively they aren’t that great. The offense can have it’s moments, but for the most part it’s pretty quiet. The Eagles are starting to get healthy and overall they are a far superior team compared to the Giants at every position on the field. I think this game will be close, but the Eagles defense will make the big plays to make sure the Giants fall apart in the big moments.

Eagles over Giants 24-20

Dallas Cowboys Vs San Francisco 49ers

This matchup is giving out all of the 90’s feels! Dallas Cowboys versus San Francisco 49ers has always been a classic matchup, but this time it’s a whole new generation of players! Both of these teams are basically the same team. On defense the Cowboys are led by the all around beast, Micah Parsons, and the 49ers have the sack master Nick Bosa! On offense they both have a stacked offensive line with numerous playmakers at running back and receiver. The edge in this matchup is going to be at the quarterback position. Brock Purdy has played great, so far, for the 49ers and I definitely believe the dude should be their quarterback moving forward, but at some point he’s going to have a bad game and I believe this Dallas defense is going to be that team to welcome the rookie to the league! I feel like the Cowboys defense is going to make the big plays in the crucial moments to help set the offense up in scoring position. It should be a close matchup that could come down to the final drive, but I think the Cowboys will get revenge for last years’ playoff loss against the 49ers and return the favor this year in San Francisco…or Santa Clara to be exact!

AFC

Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Kansas City Chiefs

It’s been a good run for the Jaguars, but I feel like that will all come to a crashing halt against the Chiefs! The Chiefs are coming off of a bye week and usually that is never a good thing for their opponent because if you give Andy Reid one extra week to game plan against you, he usually gets that win! The Jaguars have had a much improved season and Trevor Lawrence has really come into his own as the season has gone on, but I don’t think they will have what it takes to keep up with Mahomes and the Chiefs offense. Mahomes is having the greatest season of his career, and that says a lot! The dude can’t miss and he’s even back to running on the ground which has added a whole other element to this stacked offense. I have a feeling this game is going to be all Chiefs from start to finish.

Chiefs over Jaguars 31-20

Cincinnati Bengals Vs Buffalo Bills

These are two of the hottest teams in the AFC and now they collide in what should be an epic playoff matchup! The Bengals on offense can light up any defense, even with the lack of an offensive line, Joe Burrow can’t be stopped. The Bills are not only solid on the offensive side of the ball, but defensively they are a force and love to cause turnovers. While the Bengals have been on a nice winning streak, the cracks have started to show in this team over the past couple of weeks. The injuries on the offensive line are piling up and it’s starting to have an effect because the ground attack has also been silent the last couple of weeks. This, I believe, gives an advantage to the Bills. They will have no problems scoring the ball, but their defense should take advantage of this awful offensive line and force Burrow to make decisions quicker than he wants to. I feel like this will be a close game until the end, but the Bills defense going up against this Bengals offensive line will be the difference and I think they will make the necessary plays and head into the AFC Championship!

Bills over Bengals 27-24

NFL Wild Card Playoff Predictions

NFL Wild Card Playoff Predictions

NFC

Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have probably the most complete team in the league on every level. Defensively, they are the best in the league led by Nick Bosa the league leader in sacks, but they can really lock it down on all levels. On offense, they can score in just about any way, with multiple stars who can take over the game. Brock Purdy would be the only question mark for the 49ers simply because he is a rookie and at some point he will have a bad game. That is not a knock on him because I think the 9ers should actually continue to start Purdy into next season because he looks like a legit quarterback, it’s just every player has a bad game at some point and I’m sure his will occur soon enough. I don’t believe it will be this week because even though Seattle is a division opponent, they have not played the 49ers well this season. It is very difficult to beat one team three times in a season, and the Seahawks have always been a good postseason team primed for the upset, but I don’t believe that will happen this time around.

49ers over Seahawks 24-21

New York Giants Vs Minnesota Vikings

Well, the time has come to find out if the Vikings are for real or not. We’ve all been overlooking the Vikings for the most part this season even though they’ve been one of the best teams in the NFC. Offensively, they are explosive and can do a lot of damage, but unfortunately, it’s the defense that is the problem. The defense has really let them down all season long and have been a liability down the stretch. The Giants are a mediocre team at best. The majority of their wins have been very lucky wins and could have gone either way. Nothing about them is convincing to me and I don’t really think they have much of a chance in this one. I believe it will be a close game, but the Vikings offense will start to pull away in the second half and will be too much for the weak Giants offense to keep up.

Vikings over Giants 23-17

Dallas Cowboys Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs have been one of the worst teams in the league this year. They have no identity as a team on offense or defense and they really haven’t had a stand out game this season other than the Tom Brady comebacks that have helped back their way into the playoffs. The Cowboys have been one of the best teams this season on offense and defense, but they are the Cowboys and this time of year is usually not too kind to us Cowboys fans! The Cowboys defense is the key in this matchup, they are capable of getting at the quarterback and that’s the only way you have any shot at beating Tom Brady. The Cowboys defense will give Brady happy feet in this one and will give him no time to get anywhere. The defense will set the offense up with good field position and I think the Cowboys offense will bounce back from the shit show of last week! The Cowboys have NEVER beat Tom Brady in his entire career, it’s about time we break that cycle and send Brady into retirement!

Cowboys over Buccaneers 28-24

AFC

Los Angeles Chargers Vs Jacksonville Jaguars

I feel like this matchup will come down to the coaching. These two teams matchup well against each other, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Both teams are capable of running up the score with two up and coming quarterbacks who are lighting up the league. Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence have a very similar game with precision passing and can move around to make big plays on the ground. They both showcase a solid ground attack with electric receivers who can make the big plays. Defensively there are questions with the both of them, but they can step it up when the game is on the line. Doug Pederson is building the Jags up just like he did with the Eagles a few seasons ago and he knows how to win in the postseason. Brandon Staley has not convinced me he can even handle the job of being a coach and with his outburst behind the mic after the last game I have even less confidence in him. Once shit starts hitting the fan he starts to panic and the Chargers usually blow it. Pederson has his team looking the exact opposite, and while I believe the Jags still have some growing to do as a team I think they will get this win because they have the smarter coach in this one.

Jaguars over Chargers 31-24

Miami Dolphins Vs Buffalo Bills

The unfortunate thing about this matchup is the Dolphins are a shell of themselves from their win earlier in the regular season against the Bills. Not only is the quarterback situation an issue, but the rest of the team has played with no energy and they are really lucky to have even made the playoffs. The Bills on the other hand, are one of the best teams in the league and have only got better as the season goes on. Josh Allen is on fire, Diggs can’t be stopped, the defense is stacked, and the ground attack has become more reliable as the season moves along. Even though this is a divisional matchup I expect the Bills to dominate this one from start to finish and move on easily to the Divisional Round

Bills over Dolphins 28-14

Baltimore Ravens Vs Cincinnati Bengals

This matchup would be much better if Lamar Jackson were healthy. Even if he plays this weekend, which he may not, how effective is he going to be since he’s missed the last month or so? The Ravens defense has been amazing since they traded for Roquon Smith, they play typical Baltimore Ravens defense, get at the quarterback and cause some turnovers. The only problem is the offense is so weak without Jackson that they end up right back out on the field and the offense couldn’t even get them some points. The Bengals are on a tear right now! Offensively, they look flawless through the air. The offensive line has been a problem all season, but Burrow has been able to make it work. The problem has been with the running game as of late. Neither back has been effective in the last month and it’s because the offensive line is so awful. I feel like this game is going to start out close in the first half, but the Bengals will begin to run away with it in the second half.

Bengals over Ravens 27-17
