NBA Finals Prediction

Cleveland Cavaliers Vs Golden State Warriors

Well another year with Lebron in the Finals and I am not excited about it! Don’t get me wrong I have enjoyed his losses in the Finals, they definitely put a big smile on my face, but damn can we just get someone different from the Eastern Conference?? I know that’s fairly impossible since Lebron’s entire career the East has, for the most part, been garbage! The Eastern Conference is lucky if they even have two competitive teams in the playoffs, whereas the West has a solid five to six teams that could legitimately compete for the Championship. But for once I am not going to go on an “I hate Lebron” tirade, this year my hatred is directed right at the one and only whiny little cunt owner of the Cavaliers, Dan Gilbert. I want to see this little bitch lose yet again because there is no bigger hypocritical bitch ass owner than that dude right there! Oh and if you’re wondering just why it is I can’t stand this little bitch you can google “Dan Gilbert’s letter to the commissioner about the Chris Paul Trade to the Lakers” and you will find one of the MANY reasons I can’t stand him and root for the demise of everything that involves him ESPECIALLY his team!

Now that I’ve established that my schadenfreude is showing let’s talk about this matchup! I gotta give it up to the Warriors this season, when they fired Mark Jackson at the end of last season I did not think they would recover and figured that would be a huge mistake for them in the long run, but they have obviously proven me wrong on that one! Steph Curry has played at a consistently high level throughout on the offensive side of the ball, but what goes unnoticed is how dominant he is on defense. He has made some huge plays in some big moments this season and a lot of those moments have been from his defense. Now I may have already mentioned I am not much of a fan of Lebron, but I ain’t gonna lie dude has been balling and has legitimately carried the Cavs through the Playoffs. Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving have been injured, so it’s the chump squad out there playing with Lebron and he has had to do EVERYTHING! Now while this is impressive, one individual does not win a Championship, teams do.

The Warriors are a complete team from top to bottom, they took James Harden out of his element and I believe they will do the same to Lebron. The Warriors bench is deep and if you have ever watched the NBA Finals you know there is at least one game where the bench takes over and wins the game, also coaching is a big part of this and we have two rookie coaches facing off against eachother. I’m taking Steve Kerr easy in that one, he has plenty of rings from his time as an NBA player so he knows what it’s like being in this moment. David Blatt on the other hand doesn’t know what he’s doing, as a matter of fact Lebron is doing yet another job on his team and that’s coaching because Blatt is so incompetent.  NOBODY looks more confused than David Blatt on the basketball court during a game, he constantly is just throwing up signs and yelling stuff but yet not one player is even acknowledging his existence! It is both sad and hilarious all the same time, at least to me it is! Overall the Warriors are the better team and if they continue to play at the high level they have maintained throughout the season then they should walk away with the Championship!

NBA Conference Championship Predictions

First Round Record (7-1)
Semi Finals Record (2-2)

NBA Conference Finals Predictions

Western Conference

Houston Rockets Vs Golden State Warriors

The Warriors have been kicking some serious ass this season and have continued to dominate all through the playoffs thus far. The Rockets made an impressive comeback down 3-1 in the semi-finals over the Clippers, that showed they can overcome an immense amount of adversity against a really good team. The Clippers did choke, but you still can’t take away a comeback like that away from the Rockets! In this matchup I feel like it will end up being a shootout, you have the league MVP Stephen Curry going up against the runner up for the award, James Harden. The Warriors have the edge on the defensive side of the ball and I feel they will work to take James Harden out of the game and force his teammates to try and step up in his place. The Warriors are also a much deeper team on the bench and have other guys who can take over scoring if Curry is not having a good game. Right now I cannot pick against the Warriors, they have maintained a high level of play from start to finish this season. It really looks like they are going to win it all when everything is said and done.

Warriors over Rockets 6 games

Eastern Conference

Cleveland Cavaliers Vs Atlanta Hawks

I feel like analysis on this matchup will be a waste of time because it’s quite obvious that the league is going to make it as easy as possible for Lebron and the bitches to get into the NBA Finals. But since I only have two matchups to discuss I’ll just go ahead and do it! The Cavs are such a garbage team, there is nothing impressive about them and their “coach” is just hilarious! Dude runs onto the court calling timeout (when they didn’t have one) at the end of a tight matchup in the previous round and magically the refs don’t see it. This would have been a penalty and could have changed the outcome of a game that ended up with a Cavs win. The Hawks are also unimpressive as a team. They had a spectacular regular season, but since the playoffs began they have looked like a different team. Their threat this season was their lights out shooting and so far they have looked awful on that end. Even Kyle Korver can barely knock down a three and that dude was on fire all regular season! In general I think the Hawks are a much better team than the Cleveland Lebrons on the offensive and defensive side, as well as deeper on the bench. But I don’t see the Hawks winning in this big of a matchup and it’s obvious the league wants Lebron back in The Finals with the way the refs call all of their games.

NBA Semi Final Predictions

First Round Record (7-1)

Western Conference

Memphis Grizzlies Vs Golden State Warriors

The Warriors are looking like a really solid team right now. The came out shooting in the first round and took care of business easily! The Grizzlies ain’t no chumps though, they dominated the Blazers in the first round and moved on without an issue. The problem now is they lost Mike Conley to a facial fracture and there is a possibility of him playing in this round, but I don’t believe he will be as effective even if he does get playing time and that will have a huge effect on this matchup. The Warriors are playing so well you can’t be missing your top point guard, especially when you have Stephen Curry on the other side playing some of the best basketball of his career. I would give the Grizzlies a better chance if Conley were healthy in this matchup, but even then I still don’t think they’re good enough to get past Golden State. The Warriors are extremely confident with their shot and their defense is underrated because they kill everybody with their offense, this should be a nice test for them.

Warriors over Grizzlies 6 games

Los Angeles Clippers Vs Houston Rockets

After the first round of the Playoffs I am now more convinced that the Clippers are not that great of a team. Even if Chris Paul didn’t injure himself coming into this series I’d say the Rockets are a far superior team. We should have some shoot outs in this series because both teams can catch fire on offense, especially from three point range, but the Rockets play as a complete team and tend to stick with their game plan. The Clippers tend to start throwing up desperation shots for no apparent reason and then get all sloppy when things start getting out of hand. Yes, I know they beat the defending Champs in the previous round, but let’s all keep it real the Spurs gave that series up, twice. All in all like I said when I started this off, I don’t believe in the Clippers and this injury to Chris Paul doesn’t help. I think it should be a good series, but I have a feeling the Rockets will win this one without a problem.

Eastern Conference

Chicago Bulls Vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Finally we get a worthwhile matchup in the Eastern Conference! The Cavs have had an up and down season and haven’t really been able to gel as a team. They don’t look in sync at all and it’s obvious their coach is a complete moron and it doesn’t help that Kevin Love is out for the remainder of the playoffs with a shoulder injury. The Cavs really only look “so amazing” because they’re in the mediocre ass Eastern Conference that has only about 3 to 4 DECENT teams compared to the West. The Bulls were finally able to keep the same starting lineup intact for the first round and looked really good at times. They still have some kinks to work out, but overall the Bulls are starting to catch fire. Derrick Rose is back and playing well alongside a sharp shooting, risk taking guard, Jimmy Butler. Where I think the Bulls will have the edge in this matchup will be in the paint. I don’t believe the Cavs have anybody who can compete in the paint with Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol, and they aren’t the only threat in the paint working against the Cavs. Quite frankly I think the fact that the Cavs coach is so awful at his job that even if they weren’t missing Kevin Love this team can’t win a Championship, let alone beat a halfway decent team catching fire at the right time ready to take advantage of an ailing team in the lowly ass Eastern Conference!

Bulls over Cavaliers in 6 games

Washington Wizards Vs Atlanta Hawks

I’m more excited about this matchup than I thought I would be before the Playoffs began. Both of these teams are young and fresh and should match up quite well against eachother. John Wall is really starting to emerge as one of the top point guards in the league and has shown a ton of growth this season. Paul Pierce was the driving force in the last round and I have a feeling he will keep it moving into this round. The Hawks showed in the last round that they are not that dominant, they are a good team, but they have plenty of flaws that were exposed against the garbage can Nets. This leads me to believe that they do not have what it takes when pushed to the limit and right now the Wizards are playing “push you to the limit” type basketball. The Wizards are coming into this with confidence and the leadership of Paul Pierce only makes them more of a threat on this series. I think the Wizards are going to surprise us this round and take this series.

NBA First Round Playoff Predictions

Western Conference

New Orleans Pelicans (awful team name) Vs Golden State Warriors

No team has kicked more ass this season than the Warriors. They have slowly been building a solid team over the years and it finally has come along this season. Stephan Curry is balling uncontrollably this season, there is no doubt in my mind he is the league MVP. Curry has been lights out and carried the Warriors throughout the season, he’s had plenty of help with his surrounding cast including another sharp shooter in Klay Thompson. The Pelicans also have an emerging star who has had a great season, Anthony Davis. Davis has had a breakout season and there is no doubt that he is the reason why the Pelicans are in the playoffs. The problem for them is that he has suffered way too many injuries and I don’t think they have the fire power to keep up with Golden State. The Warriors have been playing some of the best basketball and have maintained it up until this point. Offensively and defensively there aren’t going to be too many teams that will be able to hold this team back and I definitely don’t think that’s going to happen in this matchup.

Warriors over Pelicans 5 games

Portland Trailblazers Vs Memphis Grizzlies

Portland has just been decimated by injuries this season, which is why I don’t have much hope for them in this matchup. The Grizzlies have been playing some excellent basketball throughout the season, led by Marc Gasol who is having yet another great season. The Grizzlies play smothering defense and are tough in the paint. This matchup would be more interesting if the Blazers weren’t struggling this season, but that is not the case and the Grizzlies should have no problem moving onto the next round!

Grizzlies over Blazers 5 games

San Antonio Spurs Vs Los Angeles Clippers

I knew I was going to feel bad for whoever had to face off against the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs. The Clippers have had an up and down season. Sure they’re a good team, but not even half as good as I expected them to be when the season began. The Clippers have had to battle through injuries this season and never really got into a rhythm with one starting lineup. The Spurs on the other hand have come rolling into the post season full steam ahead ready to try and win another Championship. Tim Duncan is still balling hard, there isn’t one bad thing you can say about the way he continues to dominate at his position he truly is a timeless player. Beyond Duncan the rest of the Spurs are as dominant as ever, Kawhi Leonard has been lights out, Tony Parker is playing well and the bench steps it up when they need to. I think the Spurs are ready to dominate another post season and the Clippers are just one team in their way. It should be a good series, but the Spurs are playing some great basketball right now and I expect that to continue on into the next round.

Spurs over Clippers 6 games

Dallas Mavericks Vs Houston Rockets

James Harden has been playing some of the best basketball of his career this season and it’s shown with how well his team has fared this season. No thanks to the flying vagina, Dwight Howard, that fool has spent most of the season nursing his busted ovaries or something. The Rockets rely heavy on offense, which is why Harden is killing it this season, but beyond him the Rockets are kind of thin and don’t have much fire power. So the key for their opponents will be to frustrate Harden and I feel like the Mavericks will layout that blueprint for the rest of the playoff teams that may possibly face the Rockets at some point this post season. The Mavs have had an up and down season, they’ve had their moments but overall they’ve been fairly mediocre. The Rondo trade hasn’t made them any better, until now that is. Rondo is a player who always steps it up come playoff time and I have a feeling he is going to put the Rockets on the brink along with Dirk Nowitzki, who is retiring after this season so you know he’s going to put it all out there for his last hurrah, but ultimately I believe the Rockets will prevail. The Rockets overall are a better team from top to bottom and Harden will be tough to hold down for an entire series.

On a side note I will say it’s going to be tough to say goodbye to another great player from this era, Dirk Nowitzki . I respect the way he has played the game and it was nice to see him win his Championship against The Heat in an epic battle a few years ago. I’m a Lakers fan for life, but also a basketball fan and Dirk was a class act all the way. I enjoyed watching his career from start to finish.

Rockets over Mavericks 7 games

Eastern Conference (awful first round matchups)

Brooklyn Nets Vs Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks stormed into the season as a surprise team. They had a great regular season, maintained the dominance and now have the top seed in the Eastern Conference. This was not expected at all before the season began, but the Hawks have proven everyone wrong and are playing some of the best overall team basketball in the league, WITHOUT a superstar player. We’ll see if that becomes a problem later in the playoffs, but I’m fairly confident that this will be an easy series for the Hawks. The Nets are garbage and have no shot at even winning a game in my opinion, but hey you know me I’m always bitchy!

Hawks over Nets 4 games

Washington Wizards Vs Toronto Raptors

This will be the ONLY possible good matchup we have in the first round in the Eastern Conference. Both of these teams matchup well against eachother. The Wizards are led by a solid tandem of guards with John Wall and Bradley Beal. Neither are afraid to take the big shot from the outside or drive into the hole and knock down a layup or take the hard foul. Gortat is playing tough defense in the middle and old ass Paul Pierce can still ball! The Raptors started the season off hot, with Kyle Lowry leading the charge. But after Lowry began getting injured on and off throughout the season they really have cooled off. The Raptors are tough on defense so there should be some fun battles to watch in the paint, but I think where the Wizards will have the edge is with Paul Pierce. He always steps it up come playoff time and even though he isn’t the “go-to” guy anymore, you still have to trust him in the post season. Dude is cold and just elevates his game, I think he’ll prove that again in this matchup.

Wizards over Raptors 6 games

Milwaukee Bucks Vs Chicago Bulls

Derrick Rose is healthy (for now) and ready to go just in time for the playoffs! The good thing for The Bulls is they are so used to playing without him that when he misses time it doesn’t hinder them. As a matter of fact The Bulls have battled through injuries to key players throughout the season and still play well. Pau Gasol is back and playing at a high level, I personally have a soft spot for Gasol since I’m a Lakers fan and he helped bring us two Championships, so I am not surprised in the least by his dominant play and so far he has been the go to guy for The Bulls. This should be a nice warm up to help Rose get some more playing time before the next round, which will hopefully be more interesting on The Eastern Conference side compared to some of these atrocious first round matchups!

Bulls over Bucks 4 games

Boston Celtics Vs Cleveland Cavaliers

The Celtics have no shot in this matchup so I’m not going to bother giving any analysis on the matchup! One word describes this matchup and that is… SWEEP!

Cavaliers over Celtics 4 games
