Nationals Vs Houston Astros
The
Astros are by far the best team in baseball this season and have continued to
prove that throughout the postseason. The starting pitching is one of the best
in the league led by the ageless wonder Justin Verlander who is still as
dominant as ever, along with Gerrit Cole who hasn’t lost a start since the
beginning of the Summer. They will both give any batting order a run for their
money and it’s very rare when they get rattled after giving up a run or two. The
Astros only weakness has been their bullpen, which hasn’t been a problem at
this point in the postseason. The entire team is finally healthy and really
starting to play some of their best baseball.
With
all that being said the Nationals are on fire and if there’s one thing I have
learned over the years watching baseball is that the hottest team coming into
the playoffs usually ends up hoisting the trophy in the end. The Nationals
starting pitching can go pound for pound with the Astros, which should make for
some interesting games in this World Series. The Nationals batting order has
only gotten better as the season has gone on and Juan Soto is the leader of the
pack right now in this lineup. Soto has caught fire with 34 home runs and a
.282 batting average and he seems to get better as the playoffs go on. I never
expected the Nationals to end up in the World Series, but now that they are here
I actually believe in them. They play smart baseball and have dominated every
team they faced so far in the postseason. The Astros will be a tough test for
them to pass, but I believe when it’s all said and done the Nationals will win
the World Series.
