NFL Season Predictions - AFC & NFC East

2022 NFL Season Predictions

NFC East Predictions

Dallas Cowboys (12-5)

What I liked most about this Cowboys offseason is, for the most part, it was really fucking quiet, and that’s a good thing! My only problem with what the Cowboys did this offseason is they traded away Amari Cooper and did not re-sign Cedrick Wilson. I believe CeeDee Lamb is going to be a great number one receiver, he isn’t the problem, but everyone else behind him is suspect, including Michael Gallup. I love Gallup and he has a lot of talent, but he is also coming off of an ACL injury and we aren’t quite sure when he will be making his debut this season. The Cowboys spent the offseason stacking the defense to make this already stout defense a much deeper squad. The Cowboys have a difficult schedule this year, which will cost them a top spot in the postseason because they are going to lose a few of those matchups, but lucky for them, they are in the NFC East and should run through this division easily!

Philadelphia Eagles (9-8)

For some odd reason a lot of the analysts are on the Eagles hype train and I do not understand why?! They added AJ Brown at wide receiver this offseason, which was a great move by them, but other than that what the hell else have they done this offseason? The Eagles are a very mediocre team in my opinion and have done nothing thus far to change that opinion. I have a feeling they will be that team that gets a few good wins, but other than that I don’t expect much from the Eagles this season!

New York Giants (5-12)

The Giants roster is by far one of the most pathetic in the league at every position. The offensive line was a complete joke last year and they made no improvements to that weakness, they lost the only solid defender they had on defense by releasing Landon Collins in the offseason, and Daniel Jones is still hot garbage and I’m not quite sure how he has maintained the starting quarterback job as the New York Giants. The only thing to expect from the Giants this season is a lot of losing and a high draft pick in the 2023 NFL draft!

Washington Commanders (3-14)

The Commanders are just as pathetic as the Giants when you look over the roster. They traded for Carson Wentz in the offseason and so far, the report on him at training camp is he is inaccurate and looks like complete trash! Ron Rivera had his work cut out for him when he initially signed up as the Commanders coach, but this season is really going to be a tough one for him! The offseason has been marred with nothing but public relations follies from the owner being a complete scumbag, to coaches being fired in the middle of training camp, and even your own President saying he is going to ban media members if they ask the wrong question to the almighty Carson Wentz! I expect this to be a very long season in Washington and unfortunately, I believe Rivera may end up being the fall guy when it’s all said and done!

AFC East Predictions

Buffalo Bills (14-3)

In my opinion, the Bills are going to be the best team in the league this season. They have had a few years to get this team right and experienced and are poised to make a strong Super Bowl run this season. I think Josh Allen is going to have an MVP caliber season in which he dominates the league and lights up every defense they face this season. The biggest addition to this team has to be Von Miller. The Bills have been missing that strong veteran leadership and that always comes in handy when you make the postseason, and with Von Miller’s two Super Bowl rings and a Super Bowl MVP, this guy knows what it takes to win it all! The Bills weakness over the last couple of seasons has been the front seven on defense so Miller will be filling in the missing piece that I believe the Bills have needed to finally get over that hump and into the Super Bowl!

Miami Dolphins (10-7)

I love all the offensive additions that the Dolphins made this offseason because they know in order to give Tua a shot at being a decent quarterback he is going to need some weapons, and that is exactly what the Dolphins did this offseason. They traded for Tyreek Hill who not only gives them an excellent weapon on offense, but also adds to the depth at wide receiver. They already have Jalen Waddle and also signed Cedrick Wilson so this wide receiver corp is going to be fast as hell! The running back position is also deep with the addition of Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert this offseason which will take some pressure off of Tua. On defense is where the Dolphins will have the most issues because outside of Xavien Howard, they don’t have many big playmakers on that side of the ball. I have a feeling the Dolphins will be one of the sleeper teams this season who takes the league by surprise and makes a run into the postseason.

New York Jets (8-9)

I’m not really quite sure what is going on with the Jets because they didn’t make any additions in the offseason that will actually make this team even a half way decent contender. One would think they would have at least looked into some explosive offensive weapons to get their young quarterback some help! The offensive line is solid, but outside of that the wide receivers and running backs are the nobody squad and I can’t see any one of them making a positive impact on this offense. Zach Wilson was already injured in the preseason because the entire offense is going to run through him and with no weapons to help him out on offense, I have a feeling this may end up an injury riddled season for Zach Wilson. The defense isn’t terrible and should keep them in some games, but I’m not expecting much from the Jets this season other than mediocrity!

New England Patriots (5-12)

I have absolutely no idea what the Patriots are planning on doing with this horrendous team that they will be putting on the field this season? At this point, Bill Belichick looks like he is beginning to outsmart himself and continues to send this team straight into the ground. The word on Mac Jones this camp has been not good in any way, shape or form! But even if he was having a great camp, who the hell does he have to throw the ball to, or even to hand it off to? This offense is a complete joke and I imagine will be one of the worst in the league! The defense has always been what has held them down over the years, but they did lose a couple players to free agency and retirement so I’m not expecting a lot from them on the defensive side of the ball either. I think this is going to be quite the season from the Patriots, but not the way it usually is. This year I have a feeling the Patriots are not only going to be one of the worst teams in their division, but also one of the worst in the entire league!
